How to Use OLIVE YOUNG’s AI Shopping Assistant in Seoul
A visitor guide to AI tools available at selected large stores, including language support, product discovery and practical checks before you go.

A large OLIVE YOUNG store can feel like a maze when you are short on time or do not read Korean. In a July 8, 2026 newsroom announcement, the retailer described AI shopping support at selected large-format branches. The tools are designed to help customers navigate product and store information, useful for visitors comparing skincare, makeup and everyday beauty items.
OLIVE YOUNG described an in-store kiosk with support for eight languages. It can help visitors look up product information, check store directions and inventory, and explore recommendations based on preferences or skin type. The same announcement described AI interpretation support for conversations with staff in 38 languages, accessible through a QR code or tablet at participating locations.
These are separate functions: the kiosk helps you search and navigate, while interpretation is intended to make a conversation with an employee easier. The company specifies selected large-format stores, not every branch. It does not guarantee a product will still be in stock when you arrive, or that a specific language will be available at every location and time.
Before setting out, check the branch listing and opening hours, then confirm whether that location offers the kiosk or interpretation support. Search by brand or category and check inventory before walking across the store. For a staff conversation, scan the posted QR code or ask whether a tablet is available. Showing a product name or ingredient list on your phone can help keep discussion focused.
Save exact product names or photos you want to compare; ask staff to confirm shelf location and stock; and check packaging yourself if you have allergies or sensitivities. Treat recommendations as shopping assistance, not medical advice. If introducing a product during travel, try one new item at a time so it is easier to notice how your skin responds.
The tools can reduce friction, but they do not replace a clinician’s advice or your own ingredient checks. OLIVE YOUNG published the service details on July 8, 2026. Participating branches and features may change, so use current store information and signage as the final check.
