Inside Sulwhasoo’s Secret Garden
A look back at the brand’s Seoul collaboration with artist CJ Hendry.

For its Secret Garden collaboration with CJ Hendry, Sulwhasoo turned a garden into a participatory artwork. Vogue Korea’s October 2 report connects the project with the brand’s 60th anniversary and its Concentrated Ginseng campaign.
The installation began in white. Visitors added colour, gradually changing the space through small individual contributions. Hendry’s interpretation drew on the hidden courtyard of Sulwhasoo’s Bukchon house, with sculptural forms bringing that inspiration indoors.

Beauty, beyond the bottle
The interesting connection is time: the repetition of making, the accumulation of marks and the way a finished environment records many hands. It offers a cultural reading of the brand rather than evidence of a skincare result.
